So some of you know my story, some do not
So in a nutshell -
5 time reapplicant with 1 mediocre missed the GPS cutoff by one question and a second SMP program who applied with a 30 MCAT and who had numerous failures many years ago in an entirely different major

The person who had people here telling her she would never get there that she would never be a doctor....

Just look at the last two lines of my signature

If I can do this then so can you 🙂

Can you share what you think made you cross the bar into an acceptance?

That is great and what do you think made the difference? I wish you all the best

I have said this before and will say it again

I would not be where I am if it was not for the masters program at Midwestern.

That is what did it for me.

I do not know what made the director take a chance on me who had already missed the mark in a previous SMP but he did - and for that I will be forever grateful

Congratulations on graduating soon and I am so proud of you! I have great respect for those who overcome the naysayers and do not give up. I hope to be where you are at some point 🙂 Have you decided on what specialty you're pursuing?

Congrats, your story mimics mine. My own advisor didn't believe I would ever get in. Best day of my life was getting my med school diploma at 37. Like you I applied 4 times. I took the MCAT 4 times. Started school as a divorcee with 2 toddlers. You will do fine, just believe in yourself that you will make it. We all cried everyday in med school. It's the hardest thing I have ever done but know that you are making an investment in yourself. And 8 years from now when you are no longer in poverty and making 6 figures and you no longer have to worry about money. It will all come to light and the journey so worth it. Relish this moment. It only gets better from here.

Congratulations!!!! There are indeed a lot of naysayers here, but if you have a passion for it as you obviously do, you'll get to where you want. You're inspirational & I'm bookmarking your blog. 🙂

My goal, is try and try until you succeed. you may fail for many times, which i know is very depressing and hard for you, but eventually, you still can get it. Maybe this wasn't the right time for you. but at least, try again, maybe that is the right time for you.good luck to you..

good job to you.you have proven that first failure is not an option to quit. i admire you for that..
