Hi, I'm not sure if this is new but there is a 2009 web based test ada offers for 37$

I ordered the paper copy but it has yet to come. Has anyone tried the web one and is it any different than the paper copy? Thanks

There's a free ADA practice test on their website. This is different AND older than the 2009 paid practice test. The 2009 paid practice test is the latest version and many people say it's the best representation of the real DAT. It takes a more than a week to receive it.

I do not think OP is talking about the free 2007 exam. There is an additional 2009 exam you can purchase for $37 and you can access it online through the prometric exam service.

I have not purchased it and was wondering if anyone else has - is it new?

You have to first create a login and then go thru the steps of paying for it. I assume that the test starts soon after the payment process.

Let us know if it's a new one. I ordered the paper version back in spring and that thing was way too easy. I would hate to dish out the $37 to discover that it's identical to the one I already purchased.

I think they have to mail the paid one to you. I sent mine last Tuesday and I havent received anything from them yet. But I also sent a personal check before and that was sitting in the office for 2 weeks before I called to ask about it. So make sure you sent a money order.

When I click on the link it takes me to an index and I don't really see anything related to the DAT. I did click on both "Prometric" links but its only options don't have anything to do with the DAT either.

How do you get to it?

you cant pay with personal check, i did the same thing and they did not mail me anything. I reorder with money order n it still took about 2 weeks.

Ok I just called the office and they said they do not accept personal checks. Instead of reordering by mail I can just go to the downtown office since I live about 20 minutes away and pick it up with a money order. Also, the web based exam is a one time take only meaning that once you take it you cannot take it a second time. I don't know if the questions are the same. This web based option may be identical to the real DAT.

the web based is taken after you pay with credit card...the paper copy is the one they mail to you
