hello, just wanted to know about retail protocols. if a patient brings back meds ( unopened tabs or vial or liquid) and says they don't need it, would you return it to stock or throw it away?
 
Tough luck, it's your error. Once it leaves the pharmacy, it cannot be returned unless it is my error.

In *rare* circumstances, involving a long-time customer, we'll give the copay back as a customer service hit. But, that bottle of lisinopril is going straight in the waste container, never the shelves.
 
It must be discarded.
