I was just debating between waiting until march to get the new set of dental decks or buying the old set and studying off of those. Does anyone have any opinions? I kinda wanted to start studying over winter break so i can do as well as Yah-e...(i'm so jealous...😛 )....Thanks!

Cusp:

The 2004 Edition of Dental Decks will be available in February according to the www.dentaldecks.com. The only thing that will be different from the 2001 edition is that the new ones will have explanations/descriptions of the 1998 ADA released NBDE Part 1 exam questions as well as the 2001 edition corrections.

I personally believe that if you want to start early, the 2001 edition will be suffice, but no editions prior to that like the 1998 and 1995 editions.

But it's up to you, people like new things instead of used/old. If you put in your time like I did, you'll probably score higher than I did.

Anybody know what happened to the rumor that Part I's format was going to change? (more PBL based and on the computer)

Also, I have the 2001 set...I know that there are some errors on it...where you can find the corrections?

Although NBDE I WILL be available on the computer beginning in February, the PBL type format won't come along for a while still.

The latest edition of ASDA News also talks about the NBDE I being available on computer in February, and the ADA is beginning to make the computer applications available next year, so this is not a rumor.

What's the difference between the decks on CD-Rom and those on actual paper/cardboard?

Any benefit to either one?
