I hate it when my books become outdated!!! Not only did the lovely people at Lippencott Williams and Wilkens decide to release a new edition of biochem, but big Robbins (oh excuse me, Robbins and Cotran) is now in its 7th edition. I just hope the changes will be minor...

Since I work for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, you can blame me for the LIR Biochem and the Marks Biochemistry revisions 🙂. Both were very much needed and over due.

This is feedback from the Pathology Chairs Meeting in Montreal regarding the new Robbins. The revision is actually pretty extensive and the book is 200 pages longer. Faculty said that they are having a hard time revising their course to the new book and many may switch to Rubin's Pathology which is out in a new edition as well.

Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding LWW products.

Good luck with classes!

Any plans for a new Pharm Recall edition? The current one is from 2000. I don't think it was missing much for step 1 off the top of my head, but a new edition would be really helpful for rotations.

When is this new edition of Robbins supposed to come out? My school starts in less than a week, but amazon is telling me they can't deliver it to me until mi September. Ah, screw it. I'm just going to use my free sixth edition copy.

Pharm Recall is in the works. Hope to have it early Spring 2005.

As for the Robbins edition, LWW reps have told me that they have seen it in bookstores.

Good luck!

I bought the BRS Path first edition from a fourth year discounted, and was wondering whether the changes in 2002 merited the need for serious annotation or getting the newer edition. Thanks for your input,

Rampant

I believe a new (3rd?) edition of BRS Path will be arriving in 2005.

As it turns out, Barnes and Nobles online has the 7th edition Robbins in stock and ready to go. Amazon can't deliver until mid-September.

Someone ordered the new edition Robbins for me back in July (b-day present). It arrived around 8/2/04. I think it was Elsevier science, not surethough.
