Having worked at a dozen sites, there's no one place that's the best for anything. Transplant and General Surgery, sure, it's volume, Actually, it's volume anywhere. But the place with 18 residents per year over 4 years has more residents working per day than the shop with 3 per year over 3 years. And we have all talked about the places where every body part consults the residency associated with that body part.
So I am not saying that Corinth is the best at everything. I'm also not saying it's the worst. But with the ACGME closing many, many DO shops, they clearly have a criteria. As ex-core faculty, I might not agree with the bull**** side of their criteria, but they clearly have them.
