hey guys this new sdn format takes some getting used to 😱
i dont know whether its just me ...... 😀

If like myself, you guys are wondering what all these new icons mean. Just go to the Lounge where there are like a zillion threads explaning this new so called "Reputation system". I guess that's what that justice symbols next to the "on/off line button" mean. I don't understand the system completly, but going to the Lounge was a good start.

You can give karma to a person in a positive or negative way by clicking on the 2nd icon to you left ( below the avatar), I just gave you one, to check that out go to User CP.

hi guys

all this time with the new format, i was replying to PMs using the "click on user name....send private message to member" option. but i just realized we can reply by quoting the sent mail (include senders message in the PM and therefore keep track of what we said earlier to them!) by clicking on the "quote" button (next to the "forward" button). just thought this might help a few of us out here who are still learning the ropes with this new format.....sure takes some getting used to!!! 😕

and where do we see what our reputation is? we all start with 10 points i think which says "so and so is on a distinguished road". i think that is karma. what is reputation?? isnt it the same as karma seen as green blocks? yours seems the same as all the rest of us meetlife!? 😕 ok this is something we dont really have to figure out. all this "add to someones karma" business will only fuel more fights and we dont want that!!

I hadn't been able to come online for the past few days n finaaaaaaaaaaaly when i did.... 😱 .SDN's got a "makeover" 😍 ...wow! this is great.
Things look so bright and nice and this reputation thing...(boy i need to take care of that 😀 )...it sure will help keep everyone in check about what they post n stuff like that.Good.
Yes Kajal you are right on target...'Karma" means weight of good/bad deeds(one does) that one carries on his shoulders.So, my guess is that the more +ve karma that one has, the better are one's chances of not being banned from this site. 🙂
whoever came up with this idea has sure done a good job.
I like the new SDN...it rocks!!

when someone disapprove what you posted your karma will decrease and reach "blue "with neutral reputation, and red with bad one and more green bars with approval.
moreover if someone with 1000 post gives you karma you will get higher points than the karma you get from me for example.
the bad aspect is that you cant tell which one gave you the F word...

Other question,

I was trying to locate some older posts of mine. But I'm just able to see the last 500 post of mine, which date to this year only.

The same happens when I went down on the thread list on this forum, only threads dated to Feb or March were showing.

What ever happened to the older threads and post? 😕

There is a poll in there about Karma system and few other new changes. Looks like the search option will be disabled for a short while only.

I jsut learnt we can have bigger avatars!! cool!. Now we can go up to 75 x75.

and for those of us who are getting bad remarks and posts:

well.....i too feel the same....but abusing someone just because ur anonymous ...........well i believe........character is what u r in dark......in the end we all are answerable to ourselves..............so do not worry abt bad karma........ 🙂 😀 .....imagine people give u bad karmsa coz they have to.....i got bad karma for my post in part-1..........that just mentioned the name of a book..................................
