Yes i know, this question was most likely asked 3,345,345,646 times.....but i was'nt around for it. 🙂

The UWI M.B.B.S program, do any of you gurus know if its accredited in all 50 states? Maybe just a few? If i get that degree from there, what would i need to do to specialize in the states? Thanks in advance fellas.

It is an actual university so it should be ok for all states.

"accredited" if you mean by LCME.. then no.. its not.

But I agree with McGillGrad, it is a good school and after obtaining your ECMFG, you will be able to apply for residency in all 50 states, yes!

Holy schmolly!! 😀

That does'nt sound too bad. Thanks for the help, and all you guys that take the time to answer people's questions are awesome. Don't underestimate how helpful it really is! Keep up the goodwork.

UWI is all 50 you will be an FMG.

Getting in is also competitive even if you are a local (carib student). But yes you are still an FMG afterwards.

Well no doubt, these nice people take time out to answer all our new bee questions. My prayers are all with you guys who volunteer to answer our questions.

Hmm I think I should start a new thread name "The Champions of SDN."

Thanks

UWI is a great school but no US clinicals. Their curriculum is also not geared towards usmle either. So, its not really a top choice for American or Canadian students due to the above mentioned reasons. I will look into SGU, AUC, Saba and Ross(some clinical issues recently) than MUA Nevis(not approved in all 50 states). If you are looking to practice is States the clinical experience and good usmle will definately help.

Thanks.
