Hello There! im currently a student enrolled in UMHS's ARP program and so far I am not very satisfied with the the program. As well as new information being presented to me about the possible fake/tampered numbers. Ive tried to find other people who have gone to the university to understand the legitimacy of these claims and sadly I haven't found much. The only thing being in reddit where a couple of people dont seem very fond of the college itself and some obvious mods who keep praising the school to an extreme extent. With all this being said I am thinking of withdrawing from the program and re taking the MCAT. This all leads to my question; Should I retake the MCAT or stay in the program and push it out. if you have any information on whats the best strategy to study for the mcat. And if anyone has legitimate source for the ongoings of that college. Thank you

I think you can find more people familiar with UMHS in the Caribbean forum.

However, to your question, you haven't technically enrolled in medical school. I would cut my losses immediately and plan to retake the MCAT.

Studying for the MCAT: we have a forum for that and a 100-day study schedule.

Thank you I'll be checking that out.

Moved.

Honestly, I feel like most Carib programs are very high risk, even moreso if not SGU or Ross. If you just started I think you could withdraw and try again for US MD/DO schools, but of course it just depends what the rest of your application looks like.

Technically speaking im not even in medschool its a sort of pre med program they have that once you pass you go directly to they MD program.

As for my application: 3.67 GPA I graduated cum laude, I have two minor degrees (psychology and pre med my mayor was Biomed Sciences). I had two scholarships due to being in honor roll. I have two research under my belt. Various certifacions (hemorrhage control, epilepsy, CPR) as well as micro credentials. And being part of 3 student associations and was part of the board of in one of them. My MCAT wasn't so great so thats why I am thinking of retaking it.

The usual advice on this forum is to do at least 2 US application cycles with remediation in between before applying Caribbean. I think it's good advice. Your GPA is good. I'd withdraw before you officially become a med student there. Rewrite your MCAT. If after 2 cycles you are unsuccessful in US apply to St George's, Ross or AUC, the "big 3."

Thank you I am currently thinking of doing that
