I am posting this listing for a newly opened headache fellowship for those who may be interested. This fellowship was just approved and the start date is July 2016.

The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington is offering a full-time one-year fellowship opportunity, available to start July 1, 2016 with training to become a headache neurologist with expertise in evaluation and treatment of patients with headaches and related neurological conditions. Headache is one of the most common neurological conditions and is an area of active research with new treatment modalities becoming available, and is therefore of increasing interest in medicine. Training will include working with neurology residents and attendings at the UW Medicine Headache Clinic at Roosevelt. There are opportunities to become proficient in behavioral assessment and treatment as well as interventional treatment of headache. The fellow will also rotate with the pain fellowship program located nearby. There will be the opportunity to participate in clinical research.A second year of fellowship may be considered depending on your clinical and research interests and long-term career goals.

The Headache Fellow is appointed as a Senior Fellow/Acting Instructor (job code 0445/0124) in the Department of Neurology. Candidates should be board eligible or certified in neurology.

Please direct applications (letter of interest and curriculum vitae) to:
