I have a low sgpa and gpa at 3.2 and 3.3 respectively. I have AA 21 TS 21 PAT 21 RC 19. Have done about 70 hours of shadowing a dentist and also many hours as an emergency medical technician. I had a really low sgpa freshman year to junior year, and senior year i got a higher gpa and managed to get my sgpa to 3.2. I'm just pretty worried about my gpa cuz I called some schools and they did say that my gpa isn't competitive.

It is hard to predict in that range, best bet is to apply broadly and hope for good news. You should be able to get some interviews if you apply early but no one can predict what will happen.

Apply broadly and as early as possible! I think you should be able to get interviews and secure at least one acceptance by doing those two things.

Honestly, if you have the time and money I would redo the DAT. Your DAT scores are pretty good but to overcome 3.2 gpa you might want to go for over the top DAT scores. If you get something like 23+ it would def help you. Yes, plenty of people get in with scores similar to yours but there are people don't get in and end up applying again. Also shadowing more would help... you should aim for 100~150 hours.

I really don't think you should retake your DAT, if anything you could try post-bacc or maybe take some more classes to raise your GPA. If you don't want to do that you could always apply and hope for the best, but make sure your personal statement is amazing, Good EC's (which you seem to have) and really good letters of rec. Like the others said, make sure you apply early!
