Hi ... i just recieved an email from Ashlee that interview dates at USC r changed to 23 - 24 Oct due to the clash with UCSF. BUT they don't know that now d dates will clash wid UOP .... 😱😱😱
I don't have an interview at UCSF, but have one at UOP ...... NOW WHAT ??????????? 😕😕

I am in the same boat. i posted a post on UOP interview thread...
I think we should send them emails and do the same thing which the people at UCSF interview did. lets call them and request a chnge in dates to after the UOP and UCSF interviews, as if they prepone it the pepole going to Michigan(19th-20th Oct.) cant attend..

Hi, i too received an email from ashlee regarding change of interview dates.
i also have an interview at uop and i sent an email to her. i hope they'll consider us as they did for ucsf applicants.
guys keep calling them and send emails.....thats how it works..........

I imediately wrote an wmail to them & also tried calling up, but no one picked.
I am gonna call them as soon as they open tomorrow.
Everyone's requested to do d same ...... Lets c if something happens !!!
 
I have also sent an email request to USC to make changes for the interview dates.
 
friends its a sincere request to keep calling /mailing USC as its the question of 1 more school and one more opportunity that we cannot afford to miss. Please come together n request till they change their mind.

This is a humble request to all the people who are invited for UOP interview to send a request email and multiple calls to Ms Ashlee Thomas regarding the clash of the date between UOP & USC interview...i think they are not aware of it...Plz do something we have only one day because they will start sending invites from 1st oct 09.......😡


Take action as soon as possible......

I also have same request to all of sdn members to e mail and call them to change the dates
 
hi i am also invited for an interview at UOP and have payed the deposit.....and today i get an email for the date change........i have mailed ashlee thomas too and am thinking of going personally and speaking to them.....keeping my fingers crossed...

i spoke to Ashlee Thomas and she told me in clear words that:
THE MANAGEMENT HAS REACHED ITS FINAL DECISION AND WILL NOT ACCOMODATE ANY FURTHER DATE CHANGES!!! IT IS THE APPLICANTS DECISION WERE HE/SHE WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW!!!!

BUT I FEEL LETS KEEEP CALLING............THATS THE LEAST V CAN DO.
 
Got an email from Ashlee that dates r final & they won't change it .........
feel like hitting someone ...... so so so unfare !!!!!
 
Usc has done the same thing in previous years. i think it was in 2007 for the 2008 admission cycle.. their dates overlapped with UCSF/ UOP then. i am not sure which school but it was one of the two.
they should atleast have some sort of balance or communication, especially if the schools belong to the same state.
 
Shame on USC for changing the date to cause inconvenience to another set of students (students with UOP interview). They could have changed the date convenient to all students if they were kind enough.
Spoke to Ashlee Thomas. No use. Got a diplomatic answer, oh now the committee cannot postpone the dates to 25,26. Why the hell did they send the email in the first place regarding 25,26 interview dates then??

I told her that this is "DISCRIMINATION OF NUMBERS" if they feel they are doing justice to students who have interview at UCSF. Let them give everyone an EQUAL opportunity to prove our skills and talent... NO THEY WON'T.

The committee is going to the grave with their hands and souls stained with the crime of being injust to a bunch of students(however small, attending UOP interview)!!

Hi guys,

I too got an e-mail confirming the dates of USC for practical exam on 23 and 24 of october. They finalized the dates through discussions and there is no way of change in dates further....

Good luck for the one who will get invitations from usc...
 
It had happened previously and now again...All the schools take pride in their own school and have utter competition with each other...They never changed the dates to accomodate the candidates and each year it has been happening to lots of us.. So good luck guys..

NO USC committee member will ever wanna take you on. ever!

but seriously, this is extremly foolish of them.. they wanna reshedule dates and cant check if the new set will work for all??
 
Few possibilities come to mind.
1. Ask people you know- faculty/student at UOP to intervene and maybe change their dates/ ask USC to change dates...tricky!!
2. Ask USC students/faculty who you know to intervene regarding this matter
3. If anyone is a member of ASDA or if you have friends who are members of ASDA then they can seek some suggestion with a student councillar/advisor
4. Everyone sends in a written request to the USC office regarding this- a letter each!
5. Another option is to contact your own countries dental organization in US
6. Seek informal legal opinion if you know a lawyer.


None of these are guaranteed to work - but they are suggestions!
 
Another thing would be to contact the International student representative at USC to advise regarding this matter- if someone is local to LA or has friends @ USC ...that would be the best route!

here is the link http://www.usc.edu/directories/dept/dentistry.html where we can call their respective deans of the academic affairs and see if we get a hold of a right person or someone who can help us.... i have just talked to a post doc of USC lets see if he can help us......

we have just couple of hours left ...we can still do something....rest is in gods hand.....



just got a call from him ...he said poc doc department cannot do anything with this matter because they dont have the authority but still if we keep on calling them they might consider it even though they have sent the confirmation emails....he said best person to help us will be the DEAN of academic affairs and we have to stand united and show them that we are really interested in the program and dont want to miss on it.....

lets work on it....

I know by this time i may sound crazy but lets give a last best shot..... Lets call to the Dean of USC school of dentistry...His name is Mr.Avishai Sadan and his number is 213-740-3124....He is a very nice person he will definetely listen to us.....
 
guys come on,send emails to the dean and the program director and lets talk to them personally.i agree with ons.

O u misunderstood!
I liked ur post so much that i felt that no USC committee member will ever want to take you on in a FIGHT, as you'll definately win.
It wasnt meant to judge you in any way.
 
guyz the matter concerning the clashing of dates has gone to the dean ( a lil birdie from USC told me)....they r considering our proposal:xf:..................keep up the good work guyz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets keep maling them so we can change the decision in our favor!!!!!!!!!👍

please dont ask or request usc people to put interviews on 29 & 30 oct.........if they are willing to change ..........because people like me having interview in boston oct 29...........will be in deep trouble.........guys please pray fr us tht thy dont put interview on 29 oct..........all the pain w have gone through fr usc interview would be waste..................this is my humble request..........hope god helps us.............

There is no bench test in Boston so you can always request them to change your interview date if needed. Thanks.

as BU they dont consider to reschedule the date so its better not to have USC interview on 29th oct , so plz try not to have usc interview during that day
