As far as I know, there is no difference between 2004 and 2007 lecture notes, but I may be wrong. It would be nice to hear from someone has recent lecture notes

I used most of the newer lecture notes and there are definitely some changes between the 2006 and the 2007 version as they sent me new copies to replace the 2006 versions of the same books. How important the changes are is up for debate. In my opinion, I like having new editions because I feel that they are updated, errors corrected, and some things rewritten for clarity. 3 years is quite a bit of time with 3 following editions to have changes in them. Also, this is probably the most important test to determine what residency and where you go and skimping on 500.00 for confidence in accuracy and maybe getting a higher score due to possible improvements in the newer edition, when you are paying 20K+/year seems kind of odd.

I agree with the poster above. There's also the addition of an INDEX, which the previous editions were missing (helps especially for Pharm).

Also, not sure if I'm breaking any rules (if I am, please disregard), but one of my classmates dropped out of school (separate story), and is selling his 2007 Kaplan books. PM me if you want his info.

Well, that is not always the true...newer editions may have intentional errors so that more newer editions can come.

Check First-Aid and you know what i mean. The errors from 2006 edition were corrected in 2007 edition, but suddenly those that were correct in 2006 edition became new errors! Not a coincidence.

I would still say you would be just fine using 2004 edition.
