So the latest thing I heard CVS is doing is that they have a secret/mystery shopper program that they use to get rid of pharmacists they don't want. Apparently, they compensate people to call or go into CVS pharmacies to harass pharmacists with time consuming questions, tricky/rare clinical questions, and then use these customers to document poor metrics on a pharmacist when these secret shoppers back the pharmacy up. CVS advertises this as quality assurance program, but the program is really designed for them to try to legally get rid of pharmacists by documenting stuff against them. Also, CVS has gone so far as to compensate prescribers to write fake secret shopper RXs to harass pharmacists. This practice is clearly unethical, and illegal in many states. However, CVS has duped some state BOPs into thinking this program is being done for patient safety reasons. Also, CVS has used Non-Disclose Agreements and threats of legal action to keep this program secret.
Anyone else here have experience with this???
Also, please feel free to share this info via various social media outlets and be sure to discuss openly with current and past CVS employees.
