Hello everybody.

I just stumbled upon this site today, and knew right away I had found a new home away from home. I posted in the New Member forum, but let's be honest... who really checks that forum regularly?

Anyways, here's a brief introduction.

I'm a 28 year old male, living in South Florida, and am beginning pharmacy school this fall at Palm Beach Atlantic (small, private school). I did my undergrad work in Orlando, and receiving bachelor's degrees in Molecular Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry. Molec and Psych may seem like two opposite fields of study, but that's only on the surface. In my mind they are completely intertwined (but that's for another thread).

My main focus in studying pharmacy is to learn more about the human body, the processes behind the formation of disease, and the tools we use to overcome it.

I hope to learn a lot from this site, and maybe even offer some knowledge myself.

With that, I'll end my ramblings... for now.

Pharmacy Gods demand sacrifice

Congrats on the acceptance, good to have you around.

Not sure what to make of some of the comments regarding PBA - hopefully you've done your research and can let us know first hand how it goes there!

Best of luck bud.

Welcome. Have fun in pharmacy school. And, BTW, pharmacy is a cult.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Yea, I've heard some questionable comments regarding PBA too, but I'll leave that up to my own experiences before I judge. As far as I'm concerned, the education you get from any school is determined from the work you put into it. I'm sure I'll be fine.

Anyways, I'll make sure to make my sacrifices to the pharmacy gods tonight. Take care.

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and I will be entering pharmacy school at the University of Oklahoma this fall!!! I just wanted to say hello. I look forward to talking with each of you!

I think this site will continue to grow which is a good thing since it will allow for more oppinions and more information from people in different sectors of pharmacy. I know more of the younger generation is internet oriented, I searched for pharmacy forums for while before I found this one.

Welcome and good luck!

Yes, from what I've observed in the 2 days I've been here, this forum will only continue to grow.

I was naive and just started posting as soon as I came here, without really looking around first. But from what I've gathered, it is a wonderful community, with a wealth of knowledge to share.

I'll go ahead and make this disclaimer now: I apologize for the onslaught of posts that will likely come from me.

When it comes to the idea of posting thoughts on an online forum, I have little restraint. If I flood the boards the next month or two, I apologize. I'm sure I will slow down once I start school.

Also, a big welcome to the other member who posted in this thread. Congrats on your acceptance.

Just remember, it's okay to post. You can ask as many questions as you want, but you may wish to watch this introductory video on search first.

It was made by a pre-med student so forgive the MCAT vs GPA reference, but the tutorial is quite good.

SDN1977 would appreciate this I'm sure.
