You should have posted in the PT forum versus Pre-PT.

It is up to you if you would like to take the July or Oct exam. States have no say in what scores are "passing". The passing score is criterion-based and is determined by the FSBPT. The passing score may change based on the overall difficulty of the exam, which varies from 135-145 points of the raw score (Scorebuilders 2015), and have been <75% within the last few years. Only you can determine if you should take the July or October exam. Just make sure you're prepared.

What have you done to prepare for the exam? I have began studying for the July exam using off the shelf study material and everything was explained clearly. I have taken the first Scorebuilders practice exam and found that it was too easy (as many posters will agree). However, I did not achieve a 90% based on raw knowledge, but simply by carefully reading the stem of the case. Sometimes the answer is blatantly given based on the stem, which I'm not sure is realistic in the real NPTE. I will continue with the 2015 Scorebuilders and move on to the more difficult (from what I have heard) O'Sullivan TherapyEd and PEAT and give you an update.
