For those of you getting ready to apply to PTCAS this summer, there's a new personal statement prompt posted early on the PTCAS website: "As a prospective Doctor of Physical Therapy, how do you see yourself having an impact on the profession upon entering the field? Consider areas such as practice, education, research, leadership, or community-based endeavors."

Good luck!

Members from APTA briefed the NAAHP prehealth advisor community about the upcoming cycle. Here are a few takeaways:

1) PTCAS will use the LiaisonCAS 3.0 platform, which is more mobile-friendly and easier to navigate for mobile OS users.
2) Experience description character limit has increased from 600 to 700 keystrokes/characters.
3) Applicants will be prompted about whether you/they have applied for (not necessarily received) a PTCAS fee waiver.
4) When adding a program, applicants should be able to get program details (overview), required materials, program status, and (as appropriate) supplemental essays/requested materials.
5) The instructions and process to add a college for transcript entry seem to be more streamlined.

The initial application fee remains at $175, with additional applications costing $75 each. Do not wait until the last minute to request a PTCAS fee waiver.

The Pathway to PT Virtual Fair is scheduled for September 9.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is okay to apply to both PT and OT programs at the same school like Hofstra? is it frowned upon because the professions are different/will it show non-commitment to either? Or does it not matter?
