The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is offering a single non-categorical internship for the 2018-2019 academic year. This position has the potential to be a categorical year.
The responsibilities of the intern will include primary trauma call, primary dentoalveolar call, rotations on the OMFS Head and Neck oncologic service, operating room participation, performing local procedures in the clinic at the UAB School of Dentistry, procedure in the Birmingham VAMC, and floor responsibilities. The intern will rotate alongside the categorical residents and will participate in all clinical rotations that the categorical residents participate in, including implants and sedations at the UAB School of Dentistry.
The position is from June 24, 2018 to June 30, 2019 and is fully funded at the PGY 1 position (currently $52,099) with benefits, and three weeks of vacation.
