Okay--

I have to say that I have been out of whack for the last couple of weeks. I finally was able to find my personal statement this week and submit my application, sunday 9/18. I have no letters of rec in the system and I do not expect to get them for at least 4 weeks.

I am going to call the program directors of the programs that I applied to next week.

So the question is, am I screwed because I am a little late? What are you hearing from your PD's at your schools, are they being very sympathetic?

PS. ERAS will NOT extend deadlines for any applicant from New Orleans. I have many friends that can not get access to their tokens because the med school is stil inaccessable.

I would think that you will definietly stand out this interview season because everyone will want to hear your story. It's not too late. I think everyone stresses about the lateness thing. I think that being early just facilitates your interview season because you'll have top picks of the interview dates. Good luck and hopefully you and your friends/family are all ok.
