Dear fellow SDNers,
I was just wondering if anybody could confirm the legitimacy of a rumor that I've been hearing. I heard USMLE is releasing a new format in questioning styles and a whole new qbank in the next few weeks/months(hence why the delayed score reporting). I wanted to know if it was a false rumor or had some truth to it....
I'm preparing for the STEP 1, shooting for mid July. Stressed as it is, hearing this just put me into panic mode. I'm using First Aid, UW, pathoma and NBME exams to prepare for this exam. I know medicine is medicine and no matter what they ask, it wont be new material. But would my studying be efficient using the current prep materials and qbanks? Doesn't the current First Aid and UW train you to think a certain way/approach concepts in a certain way? If they change the STEP 1 format, would I be screwing myself over for using only FA/UW/NBME? 😕
Looking forward to seeing what yall think..Tnx
