Hi everyone,
As I am an Immigrant to canada from India, seeking to get in to MD program for few specific reasons.
Here is a brief background about me: I completed 3 years of Nursing & 1yr PG hospital administration with 10years of working experience as a RN.I have already started the WES registration.
I am here to ask your guide to study MCAT and getting Med college admission.
Ihave seen lot of other posts which are similar to my story here, but I am determined to study MD, here I am asking your support and help to give me some idea about below doubts:
1. Is there any specific medical schools, esp in BC or Toronto for med col admission?
2.Do i need to complete MCAT before applying to medical schools?
3.since its been many years after the schooling,do u recommend any on line links for basic physical science theory other than khan & MCAT overview?
4.I am focusing on physical science category , any suggestions plz.
5.Is there any specific Pre-reqs for PR status immigrants??

If you can give me some more details on getting required MCAT score, you are welcome to add your suggestions too.

Thanks&Regards.

Can't help you much:

1. There aren't that many medical schools in Canada (17 I think?). UBC is in Vancouver and UofT is in Toronto.
2. Yes. There are exceptions, but they probably don't apply to you.
5. If you got your education in India, then you may have a hard time getting your credits recognized. You may have to do almost an undergrad in Canada depending on how WES goes.

There's an MCAT section and a non-trad applicant section on this forum. Use them for 3 and 4.
