I just graduated in May with a degree from the University of Virginia, and I am now working full-time as a laboratory technician at UVA in my time off before medical school. I had not really done research before this job and therefore had never really thought about the idea of doing an MSTP program until the assistant professor in the lab suggested it to me. I am not the strongest of medical school applicants in general though, so I don't even know if I would be competitive, but I am interested in possibly following up on the idea. Any suggestions as far as how I could get more information, and things I can do to beef up my application to show my passion for research since it is still sort of new to me. Thank you so much.
