After tons of research I have decided that I want to pursue a career in physical therapy! I am a recent graduate and am in the process of completing prereqs at a local community college. However, I am a little unclear of the process and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on observation hours. What is the best way of going about and getting these hours and when should I start? Is simply volunteering at a physical therapy clinic or hospital considered in these observation hours?... or do I actually need to be working with a pt. I was just looking at a couple hospitals online and under physical therapy volunteer it just states that volunteers would be helping with clerical duties and whatnot... so I was wondering if thats considered along with the observation hours. Thanks in advance!

Also, I am planning on applying to chapman and on their website it states that one can have two science prereqs and one nonscience prereq in progress when applying... so im planning on taking classes this spring 2013, summer 2013, and fall 2013 (term when i plan on applying), but i believe i will still have one science prereq left to take in spring 2014. just to verify... does this go along with what they are saying or... should i be done with everything by the end of fall 2013? sorry if this is a little confusing... im just trying to be sure that i am planning my courses correctly! thanks!
