I'm new to the DO process (have applied for MD) and have a few questions about it. First, I submitted my AACOM app in July (for starting Fall 09) and haven't heard anything since. I literally chose to have my app sent to all the schools listed on AACOM. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything yet. What's the normal time frame? What about MCAT time? I took mine on '05, is that now to old?

It depends by school. Most schools accept scores up to 2 years old. You will probably have to retake for half of the DO schools that you applied to. If you applied in July you should be verified by now. Call the AACOM to see what's going on if you haven't been verified.

Give AACOMAS a call and check. I got mine in about the same time last year, and had an interview scheduled by this time last year. I thought the MCAT was good for 3 years, but I could be mistaken.
