New UCLA cut-offs

Hello, I'm making my school list for the 2019 cycle and recently read that UCLA DGSOM now has cut-offs at 3.4 BCPM and 512 MCAT.

However, I recently read this proposal:

States that disadvantaged students have a 3.0 and 500 cut-off. I'm a bit confused, as there is nothing on UCLA's website. Do these cut-offs also apply for Charles Drew?

It is ONLY a proposal. It doesn't say the proposal was accepted and will be implemented as proposed, if at all.

Just as an FYI, even if this becomes official policy, not all disadvantages are the same.

The new cut offs likely don't apply to Drew as it is an HBCU, but who knows. If you do call them, please let us know what they say. If you have the money, apply anyway.

Yeah, actually, you bring up a really good point: this released proposal is actually how the information about the new cutoffs/policy change came out; UCLA hasn't even officially stated it yet, which is interesting.

Do you member how the first couple harry potter movies had a true midnight premiere the Friday it came out? Then that was too late so for the third movie the midnight premiere was really Friday at about 8 o’clock. Then the fourth movie came out Thursday at midnight. The fifth movie was Thursday at 8 o’clock and then by the sixth and seventh movies it was Wednesday at midnight. By the final movie it was just an all day marathon started Monday and ended on Wednesday at around 8 o’clock with “Midnight early screening”. The same thing that happened to Harry Potter midnight premieres has happened to Black Friday and has happened to the application cycle.
