Hey guys! I was wondering for those who took the DAT recently, did they start to add any changes to the biology section? Also for the QR section, were there any "test questions (statistics)"that don't actually count towards your score?

I'm interested because I'm currently an incoming junior, and have finished all the required sciences (gen chem, Ochem, biology). I was thinking about taking the DAT this summer/ fall, one year prior to when I will be applying. But the upcoming changes really confuses me. I just ordered the DAT destroyer and the math destroyer as well as cliffs ap biology. I know the changes will be implemented no sooner than 2015, but if I need to take the DAT for the second time, some of these materials would be less helpful or useless when changes are made to the test content.

Here is the latest update dated March 15, 2014: http://www.ada.org/~/media/ADA/Education and Careers/Files/Tips on Preparing for DAT ADEA 2014.ashx

Changes to Test Content
Critical Thinking Skills
In order to enhance testing of critical thinking skills, the Quantitative
Reasoning Test (QRT) specifications have been revised to eliminate the
sections for numerical calculations, conversions, geometry, and
trigonometry. Items will be added in the following areas: data analysis,
interpretation, and sufficiency; quantitative comparison; and probability
and statistics. These changes will be implemented no sooner than
2015.
Biology
Biology survey courses have shifted to a systems approach (i.e., focusing
on complex interactions within biological systems). Biology test
specifications are being adjusted accordingly in 2015.
