Hi Everyone,

So I decided to take some time and call a whole bunch of schools that many people have applied to to get some information that may hopefully help people out.

This is in ADDITION to the information in the "When do Schools stop Inviting for Interviews" thread.

Hope this helps you all! It sure as heck depressed me a bit, but oh well. I guess with a lot of these schools there is a huge time crunch in that people who even get interviews may not be able to go. But good luck to all!

UPENN - *UPDATE* Initially, everyone had said it would be this week, but the woman at the admissions office said the last set of interviews would be sent by NEXT week (week of Jan 26th) 😕

BAYLOR (TX) - Interviews are CONDUCTED through February; inivtes probabbly sent by end of January

U MICH - Committee in FINAL STAGES of review; interview invites sent out in the next TWO WEEKS

BOSTON UNIV - Interviews CONCLUDE on FEB 6

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY - Interviewees invited until the end of February

WASH U ST LOUIS - Interviews are CONDUCTED until the end of February

JEFFERSON MED - Interviews CONDUCTED until mid-April

ALBERT EINSTEIN - Interviews CONDUCTED through April

TEMPLE UNIV - Interviews CONDUCTED through April

MOUNT SINAI - Interviews CONDUCTED through Last week of March

As for the Information on when schools stop interviewing... Here is the KNOWN information from the other thread in case you want to see it all at once. This is not the information I got from today, but from what others have said. Not sure if there are any changes:

EMORY - Invitations sent until THIRD WEEK OF FEB

FINCH - Sent out Invites through APRIL

HARVARD - Sent out until mid-Jan; safe to assume it's over

NYMC - Interview into APRIL

NYU - Interviews CONCLUDE on Feb 6

NORTHWESTERN - Latest Info sent out is the end of JAN

OHSU - Interview through APRIL

U OF ROCHESTER - Through MARCH

TUFTS - Invite through MID-MARCH; Interviews CONCLUDE in April

UNIV COLORODO - LAST DATE is MARCH 8

UNIV PITTSBURGH - Interview through MARCH

UCSF told me that I would hear by April 15th ish about an interview (and the same for the joint program, if you applied)... I think usually if you get one, you get the other though, not sure...

o ya, and UCSD has made final decisions regarding it's pre-interview hold pool and sent the final decision letters yesterday. either an interview or the axe.... 🙁

thanks for posting all the info;

I at times want to call schools, but then just go with the defeatist attitude that it wouldn't make a difference.

anyways, thanks again, there's still hope;

zeke- when i went to dartmouth i'm pretty sure they told us that they interview through the start of march (i feel like most rolling schools interview farther into spring). i'm not 100% though- sorry;

Thanks so much! This is very helpful. I don't have much to add other than what I had on the other post except that I found out at Mt. Sinai they committee meets on Tuesdays....maybe not so interesting for anyone but I like to know how often/when they consider us 😳)

its lookin a lot better than i thought- i was pretty convinced that the schools i hadn't heard from = rejection at this point

Mount Sinai's interview schedule is full. I emailed MSSM and got that repsonse on January 20.

this would really break my heart if sinai were full already. sinai is my number one choice and i was hoping that there was still a shot!

What I was told is that the schedule is full. Last year 2003, MSSM interviewed through April. Maybe there might be cancellations (maybe yes or maybe no). I was told that MSSM will interview through the end of March. Anything can really happen. But it does not look good for applicants who have not heard. Last year, I got my rejection letter from them (no interview) in late May.
