Hi so I'm sort of new to this site, just got an interview invite today. I was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed for the afternoon session knew how long it lasted? I read that there was 10 people per group, around 20 minutes per interview, but are there multiple interviewers or is it one at a time? What time did you leave the campus? I'm asking because I need to figure out my flight information. Thanks!

I was in the afternoon interview. I arrived to campus at around 10:45 AM to check-in. You'll attend a presentation first, then lunch, followed by interviews. If you're the first of the group selected to interview (I was 4th or 5th) you should be done fairly early. I'd say I was done around 2 PM. However, you may be the last and end up staying till around 4-4:30 PM.

There are two interviewers, of which you will be interviewed by one.

Hey all. I'm a current junior who plans on applying for the 2015-2016 year. I was just wondering if you guys could answer some questions for me on the whole process?

1) Applications open on June 1st right?

2) Can I update them with grades/ ECs during the process? I am going to be retaking 8 credits worth of science classes over the summer (got a B- in all of em and think I could pull A/A-s if i work my butt off). Also I got accepted to 1 research internship and will be doing research at a lab also over the course of this coming summer. Would like to add all of this to my ECs since this would be the only research on my application.

3) Can I update them with letters of intent and stuff throughout the process?

4) What are your thoughts on the new MCAT coming up? What do you think the average new MCAT score will be for applicants?

Hi , my IV is at 9 am.. When you think I will be done ?
Please I need to book my flight. Thank you

Thanks
Where did you get this number from (70% accepted) ?
From 2013-2014 discussion thread. 70% means very likely that an interviewee will be accepted, but it is not very accurate. It will be a bad news if one interviewee is waitlisted.

Interview Invite. Complete... around early October? IS, reapplicant, 3.5 cgpa, 3.3 sgpa*, 28MCAT.

Earliest they had was Tues 2/24/15. Scheduled for Wed 2/25/15 afternoon.

ii today as well. OOS. anyone know the post-interview acceptance rate?

Can any current students comment on curriculum at NYIT?

I have a schedule interview in February. Is that too late ( my mcat score isn't the greatest). Anyway to push it up

When I talked to an NYIT-com student, he said it isn't too late since they interview Nov-May. It's actually in the middle, so he told me not to worry. Their interview schedule is just later than other schools.

For you guys who are eagerly waiting for an II....So it is very common around this time to become discouraged and lose hope. BUT I just wanted you guys to know that its still relatively early in the cycle. Some schools have barely begun to send out acceptances (NYIT-COM being one of those schools). That being said, interview invites can happen all the way until the end of april! My friend who is now my classmate had her interview in MAY!! Guess I just wanted to say..its still too early to start losing hope! good luck everyone!

Seriously, huge thank you for that!

Hey, guys. Is there any pattern to interview invites? Are they send out on Fridays, etc?

how long does it take them to make and mail decisions post-interview?

Only one person heard via a phone call bc they had special circumstances or something. People have been saying letters were sent out towards the end of this past week but we'll see.

Anyone receive a ii recently? This wait is tortureeeeeeee
Try waiting 6 weeks to see if they want u or not ...that's torturous too. I fell ur pain hahaah. Seems like no one heard today either. Maybe tmro? And im sure you'll get an interview 🙂 You have time. Don't worry just yet!

Anyone know how NYIT feels about update letters / letters of interest?

Try it, worst comes to worst they'll throw it out or simply place it in your file. I know for a fact the letters I'll send to some of my MD schools will be a futile attempt, but again the worst they can do is throw it out.

Thanks! I'm going to do it! Worth a shot for my first choice!!!
