I am currently applying to 12 month GPR and AEGD programs.
Can someone who is familiar with New York programs please tell me which programs (GPR and AEGD) are good and worth applying to.
Thank you 😕

where do you go to dental school?

Depends on what you like to learn.

i heard the ones in the bronx are the real deal grp programs there ur doing things people read about.

If by real deal you mean gunshot wounds and broken jaw bones, then yes, the bronx is great.

no i also meant implants, crowns, bridges and full mouth extractions, i hope your not thinking people are going to come for canine to canine veneers in a gpr program

I did a residency in the Bronx. There's just not enough talk about GPR residencies on the SDN forum.

If you working low socioeconomic place, then patients can't afford big procedures, however, you will get plenty of procedure that medicare does pay for: exos, fillings, endo, pros. I've also seen complex med, pedo, geriatrics, and even did some community outreach.

Barely any
* crowns, implants, bridges.

Hope this helps, if you want the exact breakdown, I can share that too.

some of these bx places are offering implants at 900-1200bucks i doubt someone missing a tooth wont take that bargain.

which ones did you interview at in the bronx? it depends if they have OMS or perio attached then no you dont place any implants as GPRs...

I would argue differently.
Yes, 900-1200 is a great deal, but when majority of the population is on welfare, there is no extra cash for implant even if the cost is 500.
