Pros/Cons
New York is in... New York.
Pacific is in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Those are both pros and cons for each. If you are looking for a big city experience, you will not like Pacific. If you are looking for more of a small town atmosphere with the convenience of a semi big city nearby, Pacific might be more for you. Both schools have a good focus on vision therapy. Pacific has 5 different clinics in different towns that each serve a very different population. SUNY, considering New York is the largest city in the country, will obviously have a much larger patient base. I haven't been to New York so I can't attest to physical beauty, but Oregon is simply gorgeous.
You will get a good education at both schools. You will be an OD after attending both schools. Make your decision based on where you feel you will be more at home for the next four years. Which one feels right? Go there.
