The age old question about NYC programs, but I think there's been a lot of changes this year - anyone have any insight into the state of things and what kind of rankings you would give to all the Manhattan programs? I'm planning to stay in the city (so I'm aware of the surgical numbers).

Any input is appreciated! 🙂

-Best surgical numbers: Sinai
-Best academics: Columbia slight edge over NYEEI
-Best clinical exposure: NYEEI or Columbia, though all of the big programs in the area have good clinical training. NYU, Sinai, Suny-DS have major NY city hospitals/trauma centers
-Best facilities: NYEEI
-Happiest residents: Cornell or Sinai, Columbia people seem fairly happy though. I don't know anyone at NYEEI currently but have heard mixed reviews
-Best match: Columbia, others are solid too
-Best housing: Cornell and Sinai

Just an opinion from interviews and friends in the field, so take it as such.

Thanks for the input! Anyone else able to comment on the state of the NYC programs? I heard that things were being shaken up administratively in a lot of programs? Or are these just rumors?
