Can anyone give me information on new york programs? especially mount sinai, st vincents, st lukes-roosevelt, downstate... i'd appreciate any info.

Let me just say this, there are more than a few very small, weaker programs in NY than elsewhere. If you are thinking NY, think Columbia or NYEE. NYEE may be somewhat malignant. Mt Sinai, Cornell, NYU may be ok...

would you mind commenting on what makes these other programs weaker.

i'm sure nyee and columbia are spectalcualr. but for some applcants like myself they're so far out of reach there's no point in even applying.

curious, if you wouldn't mind elaborating (here or by pm) on the less well known programs. do you think they will provide me w/inadequate training? won't be able to go into fellowship? not attain emloyment? something else?

any imput would be great!
