Step I newly added stuff in FA 2016

So I am looking at 2016 FA and noticed that a lot of stuffs have been added. Does anyone know if these are topics added b/c of students who recently took the exam reported them? How does the update work in First Aid every year and how important are these changes are?

FA is updated based on student feedback and that''s the reason you should always have the latest edition unless you are close to your exam.
April seems to be the best month to buy new FA since that's when official errata comes out.

How does this errata work?
Let's say I'm buying FA16 in May. So all the corrections would have already been made in the copies of FA being published now. That means the piece I got would be the final version of FA16. And I need not worry about any mistakes being in it.

The Book is only published once in December of that year.
So, the errata will be there whenever you buy the book and have to manually correct the mistakes using the official errata.
