Damn, Farve looks old in the face, but his arm, or shall I say cannon, is just flat out sick. The game winning throw a week ago was clutch, but what stood out to me was it was a 50 yard rope; a frigging line drive carrying 50 yards. I didn't think he could top that, but he did Monday night. Back peddling throwing across his body to the opposite sideline on a rope, and a dozen other passes like it. That arm is sick.
If I was the Vikes staff I'd implement the Shaq/Clemens rule. You know, Houston gave Roger Clemens extra excused sick days just like he was a hot chick in a residency program, and Clemens fired an insane season* (* meaning with a little special juice treatment on the side). Shaq didn't play back to backs in Phoenix and turned in one of his best season in a few years. Farve started off great as a Jet and then the wing burned out in flames down the stretch. Game 4 against Green Bay was beautiful, but means nothing if January looks like a bunch of quacking ducks in the air.
The S. A. Spurs have long employed a rest now strategy with a very deep rotation, even lose a few extra games they would probably win, to stay rested for the playoffs. It worked great with 3 championships and other strong seasons deep into the playoffs (until last year when even their extended rest strategy couldn't fight off the injury bug). I suggest the Vikes do the same; pull Farve early with big leads and flat out sit him for 2-3 games against crap teams. They will be sorry if Farve plays every game and has a limp wing come January. Or you could do like Florida did leaving Tebow in late in a blowout. That didn't seem to work out so hot.
