Hi,
I have an interview coming up in June, and I want to know what to expect for the interview and how to prepare. Are there any NHSC scholars out there who would briefly discuss their interview format and experience with me?
Thanks,
Dan Parker

Hey Dan,
I interviewed and received a NHSC scholarship. It's hard to describe the process honestly. They ask you a bunch of questions (like 45 min or an hour worth), at least when I did it a couple of years ago. Many of the questions are "repeats" in the sense that they ask the same questions a little differently. They asked questions in a couple of different groupings. There was a personal group in which they ask the standard "tell me about yourself" type of things and then they ask you many of the same questions you had to fill out in the application. They want to know your background in who you've worked/played with (i.e. diversity type questions). They want to know about where you grew up and such. They ask you situational questions..."give me an example of a time when you..." I can't think of many of the exact questions, but they had to do with leadership, following, working as a team...those types of things. That's about all I can think of...like I said it's been a couple of years for me. Hope the interview goes well...Let us know how it went.
