Does it happen often for a program to accidentally send out interviews... and is it possible to still get an interview at that place later on if they told you that the offer was an accident but you are still in consideration? Did anyone else get any msg like this? Just curious about where I stand with them and if I was the only one.

Sorry to hear that. That is royally UNCOOL.
I've gotten invites, but luckily no cancellation of invites. Guess I'll be really careful to reserve my date super fast in the future just in case.

Yeah, haha, was a surprise to say the least, but no hard feelings if it was an honest mistake. Just tryna figure out where I stand and if anyone else was in same boat. Thanks for the support!

I also got that screw up by NYHQ...I dont know how that could happen but it seems it was sent to all applicants...these invites can't really be a click away haha I mean don't they usually say "are you sure you want to invite this applicant?" anyways good luck everyone.

It's really, really easy to send an email to everyone, rather than to a small group of people (or a single person). And the system doesn't distinguish between "You're invited for an interview", "Go suck an egg", or "Thanks for applying and we'll review your application" emails.

This happens, to some programs, every year.
