Hehe, who knew we were all equally spazzy with our pet names? I love it!

"Monty" (DSH) --> origionally Bruce (he has a batman like mask on his face) --> then officially Inigo Montoya (yes, Princess Bride) --> Montoya (b/c my roomates could not pronouce Inigo) --> Montero Sport --> Monty

"Jazz" (Maine Coon) --> origionally Jazzy (we thought he was female, in my defense and the vet he weighed about 6 oz and super fluffy!) --> Jazz (following an exploratory SX as a kitten, we decided we'd spay at the same time and...oops! No ovaries!) --> Jazz-Spazz --> Spazz McGee --> Fuzz Butt (regular sanitary clips on a pissy cat...yay)

Catfish (Yes, actually a catfish) --> Sundance (his markings) --> Billy the Kid --> Vartog destroyer of universes (umm...he eventually got big enough to eat everybody in the tank, about 2 days before I planned to transfer him 😳)

Beta Fish (a female in a separate tank of course) --> Kalypso (from the Odessy) No changes, I love her name too much!

We've managed to stick to our original names for three of our four cats, but that fourth cat more than makes up for it!

Lancelot -> Lanci-lou ->Lanci-little -> Lance (he was a stray who appeared at our door almost exactly one year ago; it turned out he was a male tabico cryptorchid and we weren't sure if he was 100% male until the vet "spayed" him... my sister in law coined "Lanci-lou" and it kind of spun downward from there).

This cat also gets called various "____ Lance" names... for example, "squinty Lance" (when arriving home late at night, he greets us at the door and turning on the lights makes him blink), "sneaky Lance" (when he surreptitiously tries to help himself to food on the table if your back is turned 10 seconds), "sleepy Lance" (self-explanatory), and so on. He's a real character who must have had opposable thumbs in a recent lifetime. He's also part dog and part meerkat. (Yes, we've called him "meerkat Lance".)

We also have Merlin and Morgana (siblings known as "the M's"), and Legadema, who was supposed to be Lance's Guinevere, but it turned out that she was more of a Legadema than a Guinevere. (The original Legadema is in my avatar and is a bit larger than our version.)

Glad to know I'm not the only one who takes the nickname morph to a embarrasingly ridiculous level!

Ok.
We started calling our tiny little rescue chihuahua "beep beep" because he's such a drama queen (a simple NT = 20 screams... also when prepping for his neuter it took 4 techs to catheterize him & hold!) that he's always letting out these little squeeks of protest that sound like the beeping of a horn of the tiniest little toy car....
