My program still has a classic call system, but many residents - including myself - want to switch to a night float. We're in the idea phase of putting a proposal together to make the switch.
The staff is putting up a lot of resistance because they claim it will be too difficult to schedule. I keep telling them that most programs have gone to a night float, so it's not like we'd have to reinvent the wheel. In reality, it's just that they're recalcitrant to change.
So...Radiologists of SDN, if your program uses/used a night float system, please share the details with me on this thread. Help me put an end to the madness of being Q4 one month and Q10 the next. Thanks.
