Hello I have a question regarding the letters of recommendation from our references on the IRTA application.

Is a letter requested just once from each reference following the online application or are they contacted each time by an investigator that wants to review our application?

I am under the impression that they are stored in a data base once they are received for investigators to read. I'd hate to have my LOR writers bothered by every PI that shows an interest.

Thanks

It's stored in a big database that PIs look through. So the LORs only need to be sent in once.
