igcgnerd Hawkeye 15+ Year Member Jun 30, 2014 #2 Nitrite test will only be positive in the presence of extra cellular gram negative bacteria. As for Nesseria, only one species N mucosa is able to reduce nitrite. Chlamydia will not due to it being obligate intracellular. Upvote 0 Downvote
