Does anyone have any thoughts on the only 3 programs in NJ?--
1)UMDNJ, newark-
2)St BArnabas-
3)Robert Wood-
how difficult to get into, neccessary board scores, application pool size,IMG friendly, interview, faculty environment, etc?? ANY information in regards to all realms of the program would be greatly appreviated.

I don't know anything about the NJ programs, but I'm posting this to perhaps bring the more helpful posters out of the woodwork... 😉

With regards to applicant pool size, IMG-friendliness, board scores and some interview information, I often found that the most time/effort-saving move was to simply call up the program coordinator (numbers on FRIEDA). Email and departmental websites tend to be rather iffy.

Oh deschutes, don't pretend like you don't know...we all know you're a badass.

I can tell you what I know...

All of these programs are IMG friendly and probably dont require the same credentials that would be needed for some of the other "larger" programs. Of the three, I think that UMDNJ Newark may have the best reputation. I met a cytology fellow who did her training at Newark and she told me she liked her experience there and felt that she got good training. St Barnabas I havent heard much about but I have talked to people who interviewed at Robert Wood last year and they told me that the program was very small (not necessarily bad, just small.) Also, I dont think all of these programs use the match...Deschutes gives good advice...a call to the PD's secretary can probably answer your questions
