Hi guys!

I recently heard from Stockton about scheduling an interview. If anyone has interviewed there before, I would love some advice on type of questions they ask and what their creative essay prompt was about.

I was wondering if anyone knew when we should expect to hear from Kean and Seton Hall or if you had heard already.

Hey,

I got an email on 1/10 from kean stating that my application was complete and under review. It continued by saying that the process could take up to 2 months, so at the latest mid March for decisions if what they say holds true... hope this helps!
 
Hi!

I got the same message from Kean U but I remember it saying that it can take two months depending on when you sent the application, so it can be sooner than mid-March for some people.

I applied too so I'll update on this board.

is there a link to a larger board or something more specific to Kean U? Please link me if any of y'all have the info.

Hopefully, we will hear sooner than mid-march!! The anticipation is killing me. I was wondering if anyone knows if they conduct interviews?


I don't know of any larger boards more specific but will definitely keep an eye out for that. We can keep a thread going here unless a more specific board comes out with updates about Kean since we all applied!
 
Yeah, I really hope it comes closer than mid-March... so far I’ve been rejected by my #3 and last option so it’s been disappointing so far. I still have five schools left so hopefully someone gets back soon because I’m getting antsy lol. Anyways, best of luck to you guys and hopefully we all get accepted to kean!

I sent my application in October and have not heard back yet. I am hoping we will hear soon since the deadline recently passed. Goodluck to everyone!!
 
i have just been invited for an interview at Kean for the doctorate of OT program!! i am very nervous, does anyone have any advice for the interview?
 
Has anyone heard from Kean University for an interview invitation to their master's program?

That's great! I wish I applied to the doctorate in addition to the masters, but didn't think of it. I think just prepare for the usual OT questions and why doctorate over masters! I am sure you will do great!
 
Today is officially 2 months since I applied.... Nervous like crazy.. hoping this means that the wait is almost over...!!

Congrats!!

I would say to be yourself and keep in mind the reasons you want to be an OT, let that shine through most of all. As for specific questions, I am not sure. My game plan is to reread some of the textbook from intro class to help me prepare for specific questions about the profession.

I have not heard back at Kean either! I know they place the applications together so you only have to apply to either the doctorates or masters to be considered for both! I have not heard anything from them yet and I submitted an application in september
 
Hi! Did anyone apply to scholarships? If so, which ones? I wonder if it's too late to start applying to them..
 
One of my friends received a rejection letter from Kean last week. Has anyone else heard anything from Kean?
 
just received a call this afternoon that i have been accepted into Seton Hall’s OT program for fall 2020!!! so excited. goodluck to you all!

Congrats! Are you putting your deposit down? I guess they probably sent out all their acceptances and waiting to see if people accept
 
congrats to everyone who got accepted!! Still waiting to hear from both Kean and Seton Hall. Hopefully we all hear something soon, the waiting game is so frustrating/nerve wracking

thank you! I’m not sure, hoping to hear something from Kean and Bay path before I make a decision! They said I should get an email in a day or two, so they probably are still doing calls
 
Is anyone who got accepted planning on attending?

Also does anyone know any information regarding their program/facilities? I have not heard much about their program, but am super interested to learn more. I looked online to see if they had any information sessions, however, could not find any information.

they are having an open house march 28! i visited and the facility is beautiful. very modern because it is a new campus

I think I'm going to accept it and attend! I scheduled a tour for next Friday the 13th to tour the campus

I also received a call that I was accepted! As much as I do like Seton Hall, it’s really expensive and it’s an extra year opposed to Stockton and Kean that are 2-2.5 years for a cheaper price. I have to think about it, but I’m happy and thankful regardless!

Definitely agree! Just waiting on Kean, as well. But I think Seton Hall only gives us 10 days to decide once they send confirmation email

That's what I'm thinking too. Do you know if there is an accepted students page for SHU? Still would like to think of possible living situations in the case i go to school there

I'm waiting like most of you to hear back from Kean. I was looking in my online student portal and noticed that under my status for Fall 2020 is "in progress" and my transcript have not been received even though I sent them through OTCAS. Did anyone send their transcripts to Kean apart from sending it to OTCAS? Who else has a "in progress" under their status on application? (freaking out rn)

Mine says complete under the status. I sent my transcripts to the OTCAS. I think I may have uploaded unofficial transcripts, but I am not completely sure. I would definitely call and ask!
 
I did! Thanfully my application is complete and under review. I emailed Kean and was informed that they'll take about 2-3 weeks with admission results. I am feeling more relieved to know it won't be long now.
