just wanted to see from med students from the philippines that are FILAMS if the admissions commitees at schools like UE and UST are strict on their percentile cutoffs for gaining acceptances for the school. OR is it basically a formality because the schools wouldn't want to turn down the $10,000 donation fee. so basically, filams, out of formality sake is required to the NMAT?

The cutoff for certain schools is the same for everybody whether you are a Filam or not. The only reason some schools are being lenient with the NMAT score is due to the decreasing enrollment in many schools (except UST and UP). Some schools are still competitive. UP needs an NMAT of 90 but they rarely accept FilAms. UST is strict with their cutoff of 65 (but you need to be in the 80's to be safe). UERM cutoff is 55 and St. Luke's is 65 (though some got in with lower scores there). FEU does not emphasize NMAT score but getting out or graduating can be a struggle (they tend to "weed out"). If you have a very low NMAT, no amount of dollars can get you in at UST.
