do you know exactly when in october i could take it or a website i could check out?

Dont delay in taking the NMAT. Outside of the Philippines I think they only give it once a year. It's an easy exam and most schools don't have any cut-off (even the competitive ones are now getting lenient).

The problem I have is that I haven't taken any physics in college and I have completely forgotten most of high school physics. The test is only in a couple months (October 21 in LA); I don't think that's enough time to prepare and achieve a 90+ percentile.

Although some have prepped well, most did not and did ok. A score of 65 percentile will get you in almost all schools except for UP. UP don't accept foreign grads unless you know somebody in the administration. Many schools wont even bother with your score as long as you take the exam.

I may actually have a contact at UP; my uncle was in the same class as one of the deans there. If I can get a high 90 percentile I want to get into UP.

Wow! You're so lucky, not everybody have the same opportunity like you have, hopefully you'll get 90's on the NMAT to get in, I heared that foreign educ. don't do well in the NMAT (for what reason I don't know).

Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but could someone verify that foreign grads don't do well on the nmat.

The other problem with UP is that they are stricter with deadlines. You might not be able to start next year if you take your NMAT in April and will finish school in June. You might want to consider other schools. Inquire with other schools if they will accept a June graduate, most likely they will as there are fewer applicants nowadays.

I dont believe foreign grads will not do well in NMAT. The first part is just mostly IQ tests and you're used to those kind of tests in the US. One US grad from FEU (SpartanDoc) even got 98 in his NMAT. Getting 90+ might need more preparation and a review center like BRAINS might be necessary in some cases. Most dont care about their scores as most schools dont have strict cutoffs anyway.

Thanks for the clarification.
