NBME Educational Assistance Award - Cycle 1
Established in 2024 by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), this fee assistance award will provide $680 awards to 1,340 medical students who have registered and taken the USMLE Step 1 or Step 2 CK exam to offset the cost of their exam registration fees.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need, provide a valid USMLE ID number, be currently enrolled in an LCME (M.D) or COCA (D.O.) accredited medical school in either the United States or a designated school in the Caribbean, and have not engaged in irregular behavior or otherwise reviewed for policy violations in relation to any USMLE or NBME exam.
Applications for Cycle 1 are open from April 1, 2025 through May 11, 2025 11:59pm Pacific Time! This opportunity will open two more times in 2025.
