NMBE Form 1 - 430 - Advice

Hey all,

So I took form 1 a few days ago and score a 430=201. I was pretty disappointed since I thought the test was going well. I am taking my test in the third week of June and I'm starting to panic. I've gone through pharm, phys, and the systems of FA so far and in the next 1.5 weeks I'm going to do path and micro and then hit up the biochem, anatomy, embryo, genetics, etc. I'm also doing qbank (so far...low 60s) and usmlerx (so far...mid 60s).

I am pretty upset about this score and I am wondering if I'm in really bad shape? I thought form 1 was supposed to be easier that the rest! Anyone have any thoughts/tips/advice? My goal is to get around 230 if that is possible.

I've gone through physiology and pathology so far and in the next 1.5 weeks I'm going to do micro and pharm and then hit up the biochem, anatomy, embryo, genetics, etc. I'm also doing qbank (so far...low 60s) and usmleworld (so far...mid 60s).

what were you expecting after not even having completed your review? you basically got a 200 on a diagnostic test. unless you've been studying for a long time already, you got a crapload of time to improve. come back here after you've reviewed everything and you still score crappy.

yea i know i havent gotten through all of the material. im just disappointed because so many people on here say form 1 is the easiest so i thought id do ok on in (210ish). Plus, from what i understand, path and phys make up large portions of the test. i would have felt better about the score if i had gone through say anatomy and biochem so far. just worried that is all.

You still have time. Just cover everything else and do another NBME.

Are you only using First Aid, because the majority of people who want to get over a 230 have to use other sources on top of FA such as RR, and BRS Phys, etc...
