I have one question to ask about NMR and IR

Should I need to memorize all the values of NMR and IR values? or should I just understand the concept and move on?

How about sugar, etc. Is it necessary to study for sugar stuff.. for orchem?

I don't remember enough about IR and NMR on the test but, for sugars, I would say it is important to know the difference between L and D conformations and the mechanism between switching.

Oh and whatever that thing was called where it had an OH group either here or there.

I dont remember and it has only been a year since the test. That is a good feeling to have.
