I sent out my app fees over 2 weeks ago, and it's been received by schools for over 1 week now, but none of them has been cashed... is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks

Which schools did you send the payments to?

Maybe they are waiting for your AADSAS app?

they all have my aadsas, mine got mailed in the first batch 🙂
I just called maryland, and they got the check, i just don't understand why they haven't cashed it...

This is something you will have to get used to. Schools are all over the place with cashing your check. Sometimes they wait until they receive X amount of checks and then deposit, others deposit a few times a week, this is all based off of trends from last year. Don't really worry about your checks not cashing, you just want to make sure they have received them.

vcu, maryland, pitt, nyu all cashed mine, but columbia didn't. don't know about minnesota, didn't apply there. it took all of them about 2-3 weeks to cash it...so don't worry, i think you're fine.

Minnesota cashed mine within two weeks of sending. When I called AADSAS to ask about my transcripts and why they were taking so long, a former postal worker was now working with AADSAS and he told me that the post office never loses mail (I am sure that never isn't correct but you get the point). I would just say call if you are really freaking out, but otherwise wait a week or two longer before you panic too badly

I'd have to agree with sfrice80. I haven't checked in the past week, but when I checked ~10 days ago, there were some checks that I sent in mid-June that had not yet been cashed. Just make sure you stay in contact with the schools in regards to whether or not they have received your check, and if they haven't, if you should void the check and send a new one or if you should give it a bit longer.

When I applied last year, it took some schools a long time to cash checks. Some schools it took a month or two. The reason is that many of the admissions people will take vacation this time of year, and they won't be working on processing applications. If it bothers you, just call up the schools and ask if they had received the check.
