I go to a tiny school so firstly i think most DO schools would assume I don't have a committee which is true but my school is partnered with a large university that does. However I don't wish to use their services as I have taken maybe 2 courses at that institution and have taken every other course including my science courses at my school. I've also been very involved with my pre-health advisor at my college versus having little to no contact with the affiliated school's advisors.

Is this reasoning acceptable enough for not using their services if the question comes up?

They won't ask, and if they do, just say that your school doesn't offer a prehealth committee.

Not as important for DO as it is for MD. The strength of your individual letters will be a big determinant in your acceptances. Don't worry about it.
