Am very fortunate and thankful for the A and IIs I have so far. But still am hopeful for Harvard or Stanford or Duke or Johns. Except for a new volunteer position to educate disadvantaged students, I do not have any major updates since application. Is there anything else I can do to get noticed?

I was especially hopeful for Harvard's HST because of my CS background.
No.

You have to be patient and focus on getting into A medical school. If you only accept was to Wake or Drexel, would you turn them down?

[quoteWill certainly not turn any acceptance down. Like I said, I am fortunate and thankful to have one A already.

Love the gyngyn quote, but for some those dream girls do materialize. Jokes apart, I called it dream schools only because I know these are extremely competitive.

Anyways, if the secondary did not have a "why us" question, is there anyway I could write up based on my background and some specific prof's or lab's interests and send to admissions office? Clearly, this won't be an update and is not traditionally recommended, and hence this request for advice.[/quote]
Good way to get rejected, because this smacks of desperation and neediness.

Having completed in mid-July, assume these schools have reviewed my file at least one time and have so far not decided to give me an II. Do these schools normally go back and re-review often or just only when they have run out of applicants (which is near impossible). Trying to gauge my chances here.

This needs to be your mindset: You are rejected until you have that accept email in the Inbox.
